Laservision was engaged to create an eye-catching exterior lighting scheme to further the unique and colourful spirit of the HITEC building located on Hong Kong’s famous Victoria Harbour.

Laservision provided a ‘turnkey’ solution which included the design, supply and installation of dynamic lighting equipment and show control technologies.

By night, the façade of the HITEC building transforms into a spectacular architectural blaze of colour with over 600 intelligent colour-changing LED fixtures and numerous high-powered searchlights which illuminate the night sky.

The dynamic lighting design and the integration of the building into the “The World’s Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show” ‘Symphony of Lights’ is only possible through the use of Laservision’s Digital Data~Pump II (DDPII) technology. This Australian-born technology represents a mass storage device for the simultaneous creation and coordination of large scale multi-mediums.

Multi-mediums are high-powered, high-impact mediums used to entertain the masses. These mediums include Lasers, Architectural Lighting, Surround Sound, Fountains, Water Screens, Large Format Projection, Pyrotechnics and Special FX. The DDPII system represents a highly integrated, fully digital multimedia capture, playback and editing device.
