The Awaken Light Show transformed Bendigo’s beautiful Rosalind Park with an adventurous journey after dark. Nightly, between 26 June – 17 July 2021, a series of vibrant installations engaged and immersed regional visitors with an unforgettable sensory experience.
The Luna Light Journey experience attracted nearly 80,000 people from Bendigo and surrounding regions. Considering the measures that were taken to provide a COVID-safe experience, having a sold-out show, every single night was a remarkable feat.
Using projections, holograms, lasers, lighting, sound and special effects each installation captured a part of the Bendigo’s fabric. From stories of the city to its rich history, the Awaken light show radiated light, colour and sound in a spectacular fashion.

Continuing into the park were illuminated representations of all things Bendigo. These included but were not limited to beautiful art installations celebrating their horticultural heritage, Chinese heritage, vibrant art history, famous tulips and even a “River of Gold”.
