Eclipse: In Bloom transformed the historic Geelong Botanic Gardens into an immersive world of light, sound and storytelling, inviting visitors to experience the gardens from an entirely new perspective after dark.
Running from Saturday 27 June to Sunday 26 July 2026, the limited-season Luna Light Journey brought the gardens to life through glowing installations, large-scale projections, lasers, interactive technology and atmospheric soundscapes inspired by the surrounding natural environment.
In Bloom told the story of a garden awakening after sunset, revealing a hidden nocturnal world where native flora, pollinators and natural ecosystems came alive through colour, movement and light.
Inspired by the unique beauty and biodiversity of the Geelong Botanic Gardens, the experience led visitors through immersive environments influenced by blooming landscapes, native wildflowers and shifting seasons, with the iconic Blue Banded Bee woven into the journey.
From delicate glowing habitats to spectacular large-scale installations, each scene encouraged moments of discovery, transformation and wonder, celebrating the connection between nature, technology and imagination in a distinctly Australian setting

Designed and produced by Laservision in collaboration with the City of Greater Geelong, Eclipse: In Bloom combined creative storytelling, innovative technology and site-specific design to transform one of Geelong’s most treasured public spaces into a large-scale nighttime destination.
