GLOW, Sydney Zoo’s much-loved after-dark light experience, returned in 2026 for its fifth year with its biggest and most immersive edition yet, created in partnership with Laservision.
Running from Friday 8 May to Sunday 14 June 2026, GLOW transformed Sydney Zoo into a dazzling world of light, sound and colour – combining large-scale installations, lasers, interactive projections, light sculptures and cinematic soundscapes with the unique environment of the zoo.
At the heart of GLOW 2026 was an all-new Luna Light Journey, inviting visitors to step through a glowing portal and follow an immersive trail through illuminated environments where light, technology and storytelling brought the zoo to life after dark.
The 2026 experience expanded further through Sydney Zoo than ever before, with an extended Light Walk crossing the African Boardwalk for the first time. Large-scale installations were woven throughout the landscape alongside interactive laser projections, immersive soundscapes and returning crowd-favourite animal lanterns, including the iconic GLOW Lion.
Designed for families, couples and groups, the experience combined the immersive light journey with dedicated food and beverage offerings and the GLOW Zone – a carnival-style entertainment precinct featuring rides and games – creating a complete nighttime destination in Western Sydney.
