Pioneer Settlement, Swan Hill engaged Laservision to create ‘Heartbeat of the Murray’. A cultural experience attraction that would increase tourism, stimulate private sector investment and boost the local and regional economy. 

Located at the historic Pioneer Settlement in Swan Hill, ‘Heartbeat of the Murray’ authentically chronicles the evolution of the life-giving body of water known today as the Murray River.

This world-class, large-scale, nighttime attraction is situated on the picturesque banks of the Little Murray River at Pioneer Settlement, Swan Hill. The state-of-the-art attraction is the centrepiece for the revitalisation of Pioneer Settlement, one of Victoria’s iconic regional attractions in its 50th year of operation. Furthermore, it’s supported by the Federal and State Governments as well as Swan Hill Council.

CREATIVE

Laservision’s unique and historically accurate sensory extravaganza, ‘Heartbeat of the Murray’, begins millions of years ago. The show carries the audience through the many phases of its incredible history and to the eventual formation of the river as current. After experiencing the production, many locals are astounded by the rich history of the mighty Murray River. Additionally, they are enriched by knowing the integral part it plays in the lives of Australians today.

Featuring amazing mega-lizards, Indigenous dream-time stories and pioneer history, this high-definition experience brings audiences to the edge of their seats.

TECHNICAL

Laservision researched, designed, created and installed the permanent tourist attraction and visual experience. The mega-mediums that Laservision has pioneered for over 30 years tell the incredible story of the Murray River. A fully immersive 360-degree production is created via pseudo-holographic imagery projected onto huge water screens, lasers, lighting, fountains, flame and special effects.

Additionally, Laservision’s proprietary fibre-fed media servers, automated control hardware and software produce the sharpest and most reliable results achievable in the entertainment industry. They bring realism and full immersion into ‘Heartbeat of the Murray’ and Laservision attractions around the globe.
