The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA) is the most highly anticipated event on the Fashion Industry’s calendar and showcases contemporary collections from Australia’s leading designers and brands. In order to stand out from the crowd and create a unique experience, DESIGN 27 engaged Laservision to work closely with their team and the Bless’ed designers – Maria Maung and Tarek Kourhani – on the launch of the ‘Song of the Siren’ inspired collection.

The aquatic underwater theme was enhanced through the use of high powered Laser systems creating sheets of light morphing into Laservision’s holographic Time Tunnel. The Laser show mesmerised the crowds with its undulating movements and futuristic effects creating a high level of anticipation for the label’s new collection.

“a kaleidoscope of colour and light … designed by Laservision … providing a truly singular MBFWA experience.”
Vogue Australia

One by one the models paraded the outfits in a visual feast, from mini dresses to sequinned shorts and gauzy tops, the show then revved up the colour spectrum with turquoise laser-cut dresses and shell-embroidered tops. From there, beautiful prints and bright blues added to the illusion of water and leather accents and harnesses brought an edgy dimension to the pieces. The overall feel was one of a moody underground, everything sleek and deliberately inviting.
