Largest light and water spectacular in South East Asia!

A ‘Wonder Full’ occasion at Marina Bay Sands

The Prime Minister of Singapore Mr Lee Hsien Loong, accompanied by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation (LVSC) Mr Sheldon G. Alderson, were joined by thousands of spectators to witness the unveiling of Laservision’s record-breaking light and water multimedia spectacular “Wonder Full”.

The 13-minute, 360-degree, three-dimensional show “is the exclamation point on the sentence of Marina Bay Sands,” as described by the LVSC President and Chief Operating Officer, Michael A. Leven.

LVSC embarked on a world audit to identify and engage an organisation capable of designing, developing and deploying a state-of-the-art outdoor multimedia attraction. After a 12-month audit, Laservision was selected as the successful company and on 17th February, in front of a star-studded audience including the Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, 450 international media and LVSC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mr Sheldon G. Adelson, “Wonder Full” was launched to the World!

Located on the US$6 billion, 20-hectare Integrated Resort, the three-dimensional fantasy showcases:

  • 3 x enormous water screens spanning 2,000 sqm
  • 30 x high-powered multi-coloured moving searchlights
  • 1 x custom built one billion foot candle searchlight
  • 16 x high-powered Stella-Ray™ and Light-Ray™ laser systems producing over 300,000 milliwatts of laser energy
  • Over 250,000 energy-efficient Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs)
  • 9 x high-powered, High Definition Video Projectors
  • A 56-metre floating fountain with individually controlled nozzles capable of reaching up to 20 metres in height and illuminated using Laservision’s custom fountain LED lighting fixtures
  • 5 x 12-metre flame FX
  • An arsenal of special FX including bubble factories, smoke machines, strobes, intelligent lighting fixtures and custom-made aqua cannons

The show features new and exciting technology that took Laservision three years to develop and refine. A team consisting of 100 specialists in architectural, design, creative, musical, engineering, technical and IT resources were drawn from its Hong Kong, Australian and Singaporean offices. The show will be operated and maintained by Laservision’s Singapore office.

The original idea of creating a show that has a “soul” was seeded by Mr Michael A. Leven, President and Chief Operating Officer, LVSC. Internationally renowned as the leader in large-scale multimedia spectaculars and architectural illumination, Laservision was engaged to bring this vision to life.

“Wonder Full” is the story of water and light creating life, told with water and light. The spectacular explores humanity and the beauty of the human experience through original footage from Singapore, an original sound score and an abundance of mediums spanning the Marina Bay Sands development.
