Live cast spectacular Symphony of the Green Island premieres this Friday!

Cat Ba Island, Vietnam: Symphony of the Green Island, a live cast, sound, light and pyrotechnics spectacular on the shores of Cat Ba Island, premieres this Friday 30 May.

Symphony of the Green Island is an ambitious undertaking that has seen the transformation of a vast oceanfront in the day to a one-of-kind experience in the night.

During production, the sheer magnitude of the nighttime spectacular becomes apparent with leading project teams at Sun Group Entertainment, H2O Events and Laservision working closely to produce this awe-inspiring show.

Following multiple acts throughout the 20-minute performance, the show brings to life island mythology, told through movement and colour, on a live canvas.

Laservision’s Creative Director, Juan Zubiaga expands,

“Our color theory was drawn directly from nature, then slightly elevated to create a dreamlike atmosphere. We pulled from rainforest greens, golden limestone hues, deep ocean blues, and the bioluminescent glow seen in the bay at night.”

Highlights within this visually stunning environment include:

• A purpose built 50,000 metres squared, aquatic theatre
• Hundreds of moving head intelligent lighting fixtures and lasers
• Over 40 live cast operating high-speed jet skis, flyboards and jet surfs
• A sound system that provides perfect sound across the 400-metre beachfront
• Kilometres of fiber provides the networking backbone for the system

The show, designed to ensure every attendee walks away with a memorable and positive experience, has not been without its obstacles.

“Orchestrating a performance on the water with more than 40 live performers is quite challenging from a lighting and laser perspective as we require pinpoint accuracy. This is the largest aquatic stage Laservision has ever created, and it was only made possible through the close collaboration of all parties involved—including the talented teams at Sun Group Entertainment and H2O,” details Laservision’s CEO and owner, Shannon Brooks.

Symphony of the Green Island premieres on Friday 30 May with the limited night season finishing in September.
