Yana Waingi, a walk in lights

Running nightly from 21-30 April 2023, at Riverside Park, Swan Hill — ‘Yana Waingi’ (Walk in Lights) delighted the community with a diverse and interactive Luna Light Journey.

An opening ceremony began proceedings and connected visitors to the region’s rich history and culture. As part of the interactive display, attendees experienced ethereal light sculptures, spell-binding laser effects, enchanting projections and magical holograms – engaging and immersing visitors with a showcase of history, art, community icons and First Nations culture.

“Yana Waingi, saw a whopping 8800 locals and visitors across the 10 nights, with visitors coming from as far as Western Australia” Cr Les McPhee, Swan Hill Rural City Council said, “The attendance was complemented with many raving reviews on how spectacular the display was.”
