Symphony of the Sea is a landmark live entertainment water show staged nightly on the shores of Sunset Town in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. Premiering on 1 November 2025, the production represents the second major instalment in the Symphony series delivered by Laservision, in collaboration with H2O Events and Sun Group Entertainment. Conceived as a destination-defining experience, the show transforms Phu Quoc’s natural seascape into a dynamic stage for large-scale live performance.
Set against the picturesque coastal environment of Sunset Town Bay, Symphony of the Sea uses the ocean itself as a performance medium. Rather than constructing a traditional theatre, the production integrates water, sky, architecture and ultimately the audience, into a unified environment – redefining how a live entertainment water show can be experienced in an open, public setting.
The show was developed to support Phu Quoc’s strategic vision as a world-class tourism destination. Recently awarded one of the World’s Top Three islands by Conde Nast’s readers, the water show extends visitor activity into the evening and enriches the island’s cultural offering. And by combining high-end production values with repeatable nightly operation, Symphony of the Sea functions not only as entertainment, but as long-term tourism infrastructure.
From its scale and precision to its emotional storytelling, Symphony of the Sea reflects a growing global demand for immersive, outdoor spectacles that merge technology with live performance.
The water show builds on Laservision’s international portfolio of water-based productions, while responding directly to the unique geography, atmosphere and audience expectations of Phu Quoc.
The production is supported by an advanced technical infrastructure, integrating intelligent lighting fixtures, high-powered lasers, precision-controlled pyrotechnics and a bespoke 360-degree audio system.
A team of 21 elite water sports performers, including international athletes and Guinness Record holders, execute complex choreography on jet skis, flyboards and jet surfs. Their movements are synchronised with lighting, sound and visual effects to an accuracy of 1/1,000th of a second, demanding exceptional technical coordination.
This fusion of athletic performance and technology positions Symphony of the Sea among the most technically ambitious live entertainment water show productions currently operating worldwide.

Symphony of the Sea tells a story of transformation, harmony and enduring beauty. The narrative unfolds across multiple acts, using movement, colour, rhythm and scale rather than dialogue, allowing audiences of all nationalities to connect emotionally with the performance.
The creative direction blends contemporary spectacle with subtle cultural references, ensuring the show resonates locally while maintaining international appeal. Each act builds in intensity, with performers, lighting and music evolving together to create moments of anticipation, release and awe.
The creative vision was developed collaboratively by Laservision, H2O Events and Sun Group Entertainment, ensuring the production aligned seamlessly with Sunset Town’s architecture, coastal geography and visitor experience.

Symphony of the Sea is uniquely designed around a 360-degree aquatic stage, utilising the bay and the iconic Kiss Bridge as a central viewing platform. This approach allows audiences to experience the show from multiple perspectives, whether from the bridge, beachfront,or surrounding hospitality venues.
The spatial design transforms the entire waterfront into an open-air theatre, dissolving traditional boundaries between audience and performance. Lighting, lasers and pyrotechnics are choreographed not just on the water, but across the sky and the built environment, resulting in a completely immersive production.
Every design decision, from performer pathways to sightlines, was engineered to support clarity, scale and emotional impact, ensuring Symphony of the Sea delivers a compelling live entertainment water show experience at every vantage point.

Symphony of the Sea operates nightly, with performances programmed to integrate seamlessly into Sunset Town’s broader evening entertainment schedule. The show runs for approximately 20 minutes, complimenting dining and nightlife across the precinct.
From an operational perspective, the production is engineered for reliability, safety and sustainability. Extensive rehearsals, real-time monitoring systems and tightly coordinated technical and performance teams ensure consistent delivery across every show.
As a repeatable, large-scale live entertainment water show, Symphony of the Sea demonstrates how complex productions can operate efficiently while maintaining artistic integrity and audience impact, supporting Phu Quoc’s continued growth as a premier destination for immersive entertainment.
