After five years in the making, 300 million hours of labour and 7,000 skilled sculptors, welcome to the Swaminarayan Akshardham in New Dehli, India. The Swaminarayan Akshardham and subsequent Akshardham Fountain Show echo 10,000 years of Indian culture through their breathtaking grandeur, beauty, wisdom and bliss.

The creation of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, a Hindu holy man, this modern architectural house of worship spans over 100 acres.

Laservision was engaged to assist in the design and overall installation of the fountain. The fountain attraction consists of nine parabolic jets, a centrally located water screen, animated wave patterns, mist effects, rocking motion effects, 165 dynamic lighting fixtures and an accompanying soundtrack.

At night thousands of spectators view the ‘Musical Fountain of Eternal Life’ to witness the 12-minute water show. The Akshardham Fountain Show represents the changing cycles of life – from creation to sustenance then ultimately, destruction.

Over 20,000 devotees enjoyed the fountain’s spectacular Inauguration Assembly, with the opening broadcast across 152 countries. Currently, the fountain operates nightly and starts as the sun sets over the temple.
