Bloom, Joondalup

Central Park, Joondalup, Western Australia, 2025

Combining immersive lighting, lasers, interactive projection, digital art, special effects and sound, Bloom Joondalup transformed Central Park into a luminous nighttime wonderland during spring 2025.

The family-friendly Luna Light Journey combined storytelling, nature and interactive technology, following the journey of a native blue-banded bee as it travelled through glowing blooms and immersive environments throughout Central Park.

Running from 26 September to 2 November 2025, Bloom attracted more than 70,000 visitors. Originally planned as a four-week event, the season was extended for an additional week due to overwhelming demand, after selling out nearly every night during its initial run.

Located within the Joondalup CBD, Bloom also encouraged audiences to explore surrounding restaurants, hospitality venues and the Joondalup Night Markets, extending the experience beyond Central Park and supporting the wider nighttime economy.

Laservision partnered with the City of Joondalup to create and deliver Bloom, transforming one of the city’s major public spaces through immersive storytelling, technology and light.

TECHNICAL

OPERATION

Delivering a large-scale immersive experience night after night within Central Park Joondalup required extensive planning, technical expertise and ongoing show management.

Laservision’s Operations and Technical teams, working in partnership with the City of Joondalup, were responsible for producing and maintaining Bloom throughout its extended spring season.

With the event selling out nearly every night during its original four-week run, operational planning also needed to support significant audience volumes while maintaining a consistent experience across the immersive journey. The season was ultimately extended by seven additional nights, allowing thousands more visitors to experience Bloom.

Across its inaugural season, more than 70,000 people experienced Bloom, demonstrating the potential for immersive nighttime experiences to activate public spaces, attract visitors and support surrounding hospitality and local businesses.
