Laservision, the name behind Guinness World record-setting shows such as Hong Kong’s ‘A Symphony of Lights’ and Dubai’s ‘IMAGINE’ continues to create world-renowned fountain shows with their largest fountain show to date, in what is fast becoming Vietnam’s leading tourism destination, MerryLand – Quy Nhon.

Laservision worked closely with Hung Thinh Corporation, the developers behind MerryLand – Quy Nhon, to create Vietnam’s largest and longest “musical fountain square” an immersive and cutting-edge water-show venue set to host various entertainment activities and mega shows throughout the year.

The large-scale entertainment installation celebrates Vietnam’s cultural, historical and ecological significance, engaging audiences with stunning imagery.

Several significant events have already been celebrated since soft-opening in April 2022, the stand-out being playing host to the prestigious Miss World Vietnam beauty pageant, welcoming over 15,000 spectators for the final night’s celebration.

CREATIVE

In April, Laservision premiered their first official fountain performance at MerryLand Quy Nhon called ‘Mystic of the Wonderland,’ a story about a fisherman’s son, who is a respected village head. He learns a lot about the power of the sea and ways to live in harmony with nature. The audience follows the boy on an epic adventure to explore many mystical worlds and battle evil forces that show up along the way, attempting to disrupt the harmony of nature.

This incredible spectacular is told with sound, light, fire, water, and special effects in an epic story full of many surprises—the first of many stories to be performed at MerryLand Quy Nhon’s musical fountain square. Laservision and Hung Thinh Corporation will continue to work closely to deliver many unique themed programs, musical fountain spectaculars and more world-class entertainment that will wow audiences every night for years to come.

TECHNICAL

FOUNTAINS

Vietnam’s largest and longest musical fountain:

Thousands of fountains running over 840 metres to fill the Bizhouse Canal District

Main precinct:

300 fountains that reach up to 50 metres in height
At maximum power, the fountains could fill one Olympic swimming pool in 60 seconds

FLAME EFFECTS

12 flame heads produce spectacular fire columns reaching up to 20 metres in height, creating a dramatic and enthralling visual centrepiece
The flame effects can be adjusted to vary in height and duration, adding dynamic energy to performances or events
Equipped with advanced safety systems including automatic shutoff mechanisms, ensuring secure operation for both performers and audiences
Flames are designed to be visible from all angles, making them a focal point in large-scale gatherings or performances

WATER SCREENS

Dynamic video is projected on the water screens via high-powered, large-format Panasonic projectors, producing immersive video content
The combination of water screens and powerful projections creates a captivating, ethereal display that appears to float in mid-air
Advanced colour technology ensures that the projections are vivid and true-to-life, enhancing the visual storytelling
Capable of displaying complex animations, cinematic video or live feeds, adapting to a variety of event themes and narratives

MIST SYSTEM

180 linear metres of customised fog system, creating a continuous and seamless blanket of fog across the water show area
Over 200 advanced fog nozzles are strategically placed to deliver an even, dense fog enhancing the atmosphere
The mist system works in harmony with lighting and projections to amplify the visual impact of the water show, creating a dreamlike environment
Adjustable fog density ensures the right balance, providing a thick mist for dramatic moments or a lighter fog for subtle atmospheric effects

LASERS

Multiple high-power lasers shine throughout the venue, producing three-dimensional light sculptures and creating an incredibly immersive show
Lasers create intricate patterns and shapes that move dynamically across the venue, captivating the audience’s attention
Lasers are perfectly timed with music, sound effects and other special effects for a cohesive, multi-sensory spectacle

AUDIO

Original sound score designed and developed by leading producers and composers
A state-of-the-art audio system provided by Adamson Systems, developing over 32,000 watts of high-precision audio for day and night performances
Designed to perform reliably in both indoor and outdoor environments, with weatherproof features ensuring consistent quality in all conditions
Adamson’s advanced technology ensures crystal-clear audio with minimal distortion, enhancing the listening experience
