As part of the Cairns Festival, 26 August – 4 September 2022, Laservision transformed the city with ‘Reef Lights’ fountain show and esplanade walk.
The Lagoon and 30,000 square metres of the Esplanade were transformed into a virtual “under-the-sea” experience. As a result, immersing audiences in impressive light displays and kaleidoscopes of colour.
The Reef Lights fountain show and nighttime light show featured floating holograms of sea turtles, jellyfish and other marine life. As well, pulsing bioluminescence and coral gardens bathed in laser waves could be viewed along the foreshore.
Laservision’s incredible performance wowed visitors who were drawn to the area in celebration of the Great Barrier Reef.

The nightly water fountain show proved extremely popular, drawing over 100,000 spectators during the 10 consecutive nights of the festival.
