The Radiance of Christmas begins tonight

Radiance - A Christmas light and sound show illuminates the Botanic Gardens

The new season of Radiance premieres tonight, Friday 28 November, transforming the Botanic Gardens in Rockhampton, Queensland into a glowing Christmas wonderland. Running nightly until Christmas Eve, this immersive light and sound experience is shaping as the sell-out event of the holiday season.

A unique, Christmas-themed story brings the Gardens to life each season and beginning tonight, attendees will step into the story of the Toy Maker’s Workshop.

Under the cover of dark, attendees will be immersed in light displays, magical holograms, vibrant special effects, new interactive zones and custom soundscapes. While crowd favourites such as the reflective Japanese Gardens and bedazzling falling snow return to transport attendees into a Christmas wonderland.

“Radiance has grown into a beloved Christmas tradition for the Rocky community and it’s great to see it return for its third year,” Mayor Tony Williams said.

“We’re proud to host the event in our beautiful Botanic Gardens, which will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland.

“This year’s immersive light and sound show is the perfect way to kick off the festive season with family and friends and we encourage everyone to get their tickets now before they sell out.”
